Diagnose with endometrial cancer stage 3 grade2
Stage 1A Carcinosarcoma
No Myometrial invasion , no LVI
Radical liposcopic vaginal hysterectomy
No chemo, BT , radiation recommended.
Diagnosed July 2022 at age 69
Stage 4
Stage 1b grade 3 tumor with extensive lymphovascular invasion.
Grade 3 with extensive LVI changed everything. I was 62 at diagnosis and hysterectomy followed by radiation and chemotherapy increased survival rate significantly vs hysterectomy alone.
Options presented were 25 full pelvic radiation treatments or 3 vaginal brachytherapy radiation treatment followed by 6 rounds of paclitaxol and carboplatin. I opted for the brachytherapy and chemotherapy because I was very concerned about distant metastasis. Last treatment was completed 8/5/21 and so far all is good . I do suffer from severe neuropathy in the balls of my feet and toes. But other than that , I’m pretty much back to normal with mild PTSD especially when I have a test of any kind coming up.
I was diagnosed with Stage 1b (resulting in 25 radiation treatments), but also had a small area of vulvar skin cancer on the inside of the lip area, that resulted in a groin lymph node enlarging, so 7 chemo (cisplatin) were added, along with 37 radiation treatments to the left groin area. I am 3 months past treatment and now going for PT for lymphedema in both legs (more left leg than right leg).
Stage 1B
I was diagnosed with Stage 3C serous endometrial cancer in 2019. I had 6 chemo treatments and 25 radiation treatments. I have been classified as cancer free since 2020. I was never told about any options for treatment. My CA125 numbers were never higher than 13 and are now at 5.
